15.05.2009 AUSTRIAN-ARMENIAN PARTNERSHIP TO ESTABLISH THERMAL SOLAR PANEL

FACTORY IN ARMENIA

DHD CONTACT LLC and GEO - TEC Solartechnik GmbH (Austria) have signed Memorandum of Cooperation on a program for supplying Armenia with state-of-the-art solar collectors for heating, hot water and sanitation purposes.

GEO-TEC is a world leader in high quality solar flat panel construction using the latest in panel design, materials and fabrication.

GEO-TEC is a fast growing solar panel manufacturer with a daily production of approximately 100 solar panels a day. GEO-TEC is now supplying flat solar panels in 22 countries around the world and is looking to expand into the Caucasus Region with support from DHD CONTACT LLC.

30.11.2008 Bioethanol Assessment Project Acomplished

DHD Contact LLC in cooperation with EnerTech Inc, and BBI International has acomplished the project "Assistance to the bio-ethanol production development in Armenia", (GEF-CS-16/2007), which was awarded by the Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund. The program lasted 4 months and resulted in two detailed reports:

1) Potential for Bioethanol Production in Armenia, and

2) Pre-feasibility Study and Recommendations for Bioethanol Production in Armenia.

EnerTech Inc., an energy and management consulting firm of Grasonville, Maryland was responsible for overall project management and BBI International brought many years of experience in developing bio-ethanol plants.

DHD Contact LLC provided local knowledge of energy sectors, energy policy and legislation, environmental assessment and agricultural aspects (soil, climate, and crops).

The project team evaluated the use of different crops that grow in Armenia and that could grow in Armenia for bio-ethanol production. Given the sensitivity of higher world food prices due to the lack of production, the team will focused its work on using corps that are not normally used for feedstock (for humans and farm animal consumption) and that will not require the use of land that could otherwise be used for growing such feedstock.
